Putin's Threats worry

Hello,

like many of us, I worry about the current situation in Ukraine but I find myself unable to stop reading the shrill headlines on my web browser about Putin's latest threat of nuclear war. I was a child during the eighties and thought we had moved on from that threat hanging over us. I am a CND member and would love nothing more than a nuclear free world. I do not dwell on the headlines and view them as click bait but even so, it is quite a worry about what might happen. So frustrating after all the world went through  fighting Covid only to emerge from lockdowns to this.

  • Putn is trying to hold back the world from advancing beyond violence by using the nuclear threat imo , The story of how putn came to power is an interesting one ,and it makes sense that all he is doing is revenge for something that happened in the past.

  • I agree, it is interesting how Putin came to power and also his past false flag operations such as in Chechnya. I do wonder why he would even consider using nuclear weapons when Russia would destroyed along with the western world.

  • maybe he plans to steal the spaceship chinese were supposed to be buildin and escape all that mess?

    I'm affraid it's still invisible

it reminded me about a popular joke in Poland around 2000, when we realised we won't get into UE without infrastracture meaning highways

lot's of bids for contracts were bribed, and as always in Poland were scam big time is normal, money for highways was taken but highways were not being built but there was no more money ....

so the joke came to live:

''Polish highways are as invisible as english battleships, except they costed more.''

when did UK give up renewing navy?
