Looking for people to connect with

Hi everyone,

I’ve been feeling quite lonely and would like to make some friends.

My interests at the moment are literature, (I read Piranesi last week and am now reading A Little Life) and autism. In the past I’ve also been fascinated by Buddhism, languages, and names. I compose contemporary classical music and write poetry about ecological, social, and mental health themes. My Masters dissertation is on listening and its potential impacts.
If you’d like to chat about of any of that, it would be cool to hear from you :)

  • Thanks for asking! I do, but sharing it would mean revealing my name... Also none of my most recent work has been recorded yet. Once it has been, maybe I can find a way of sharing it that wouldn't break the forum's rules. Sorry, I know that's a really unsatisfactory response :( What are your musical interests?

  • Hi Mariusz, I just looked for the link to your blog in your profile, but couldn’t find it. Would you be happy to share it here? Thanks in advance :)

  • I’m so sorry you didn’t get the encouragement you deserve in school. That can really destroy confidence and motivation. I will check out your work in a bit, I’m excited to read it!

Maybe I’ll share some poetry on here at some point too

  • writing would be to big a word to describe it

discovering that I can more like it

    I found out in November,

playing with words a bit since then

until then I believed what teachers hammered in me at school - what I spawn offends them and I shouldn't be allowed

link to my blog is in my profile

  • Ah, I recorder was my principal instrument! I don’t play any more though, just compose. But as a recorder player, most of my repertoire was Baroque. I do love that music, particularly J S Bach and C P E Bach.

Ahahahaha Brahms as party music :D The best. Not that I’m a party bean, but I will take inspiration from this conversation if that ever changes.

A pseudonym is a good idea. What kind of stuff do you write? I’d love to read it :)Rofl

  • classical baroque

Albinoni and Vivaldi mostly, I find oboe and recorder most calming and uplifting

it reminds me about my early childhood, last blissful moments of it

plus I turn into masterchef when cooking while listining to it :D

though if you want to make a joke on your friends, go for Brahms when choosing party music LOL

it would mean revealing my name

that's why I publish under fictitious one

plus I do not want my family to pry, this way it's safe
