I know how you feel. I have been referred to food banks several times.
Are you working or signing on? Or seeing any health workers or advisors or debt advisors? They don't tell you, but they can give out vouchers to local food banks.
2 years ago I was at the point when I knew I won't have enough to pay nex rent
my friend advised me to apply for Tax Credit
if you rent a flat alone and work less than full time you will get it
you can ask them for some more money upfront,
then you will be getting slightly less than you would otherwise
