Fidget items

There are times when I find that I fidget with an object, this is usually when I need to concentrate hard and or am anxious, for example when I have my weekly one on one zoom Japanese lesson, if I am taking some training where I have to listen to a talk and or watch a long video.

Recently I had to do a zoom training session during an inset day at work, for a while my hands were busy because I was helping to cut out resources, but once I had finished I ended up fidgeting with a sliver of laminates plastic for the rest of the hours training.

Fidget spinners don't really appeal to me, but I am looking for something that I can twist (not noisy, or takes up too bulky) and prehaps some sensory putty or slim in a little pot that I can poke and maybe also take out and and play with.

I would appreciate recommendations, I also have an etsy account and an happy to purchase from there but I don't want to spend too much.

*I also don't mind making things if it is easy to do and inexpensive

  • I don't smoke, but was once given a free lighter in a bar in Paris, my future wife confiscated it after I managed to set my pocket alight through fiddling with it.

  • I tend to fiddle with smooth pebbles, just one at a time if I need to be quiet. I also like a 'waiter's friend' type corkscrew, they have the corkscrew itself, the lever and a small serrated blade that all pivot, so that various combinations of movements are possible.

  • They sound awesome, can you say more about them? What are they like, where can I get some?

  • There is a type of ring that you can spin while it's on your finger. Actually there's many type of interesting rings out there.

  • I use a cigarette lighter, marker pen or ruler.  I like to weave them through my fingers like they do in cowboy films.  This keeps my mind busy too because I’m achieving something from my fidgeting.

im that guy in work who can be entertained with a empty roll of sticky tape alday

  • I have a pair of chrome Chinese musical balls. I only use them in the house 'cos they're about the size of a golf ball, and being metal a little bit to heavy to carry around in my pocket.

  • I have 3 Fidget Cubes, 1 Infinity Cube and a Fidget Pen

Which I bought all from Amazon

  • Hey, I also fiddle lots with my hands (my main one is stroking my nails to be honest, because I love anything smooth). But another simple one I often find myself using a a hair bobble. I can twist it and pull it and wrap it around different fingers, and they don't break too often. Someone I follow on Instagram was recommending a similar item but it looked like a possibly less breakable hair bobble - I think they're sometimes called spring hair bobble, or spiral hair bobble. So you could look up those too! Like this:
