I read that you are after a social worker. I've worked with the NHS and the best way to do this is through the GP, he or she can write to them a referral for you and explain your situation and what you need. You could call social services directly but it will be better coming from the GP. Best of luck x

If you take the time to read all of TARDISSTEVE's posts on this forum, you will realise that there are a lot of issues he requires help and support with. It's a bit like trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle and having to search for missing pieces for it all to make sense.

I agree with your suggestion that an advocate could prove highly beneficial and possibly help to ease some of his anxiety. The question is how TARDISSTEVE can get one? The steps he would need to take to have access to an advocacy service?

I’m finding it hard to believe that you’re problem is cleaning, this equals to 30yrs of abuse?

going from your 2 posts,… you can only be helped if help knew what they’re helping.  It can’t be that every health professional you’ve seen has dismissed abused you for 30yrs. It will be what you’re telling them

i recommend a advocate to help communicate your health needs. You’re clearly struggling

I imagine there are probably plenty of people on this forum who are on medication for anxiety/depression (myself included). We are not prescribed this medication to shut us up, but to enable us to feel less anxious/depressed

Suggestions seem to de falling on deaf ears, you will need to get over your hatred for Mental health services and reach out.

The NHS is doing the best it can with the limited money it's got, I know that's still not good enough but they are trying.

    What's the alternative?

You have a full meltdown in the middle of town and someone calls the police, they come along and don't know who you are and why you are like that and see you as a danger to yourself, they will detain you under S136 Mental Health Act, do you really want that to happen?
