Hi everyone. I work in the nursery class of a primary school. The previous headmaster moved me there 18 months ago. I spent the first 4 months with anxiety due to the change in job but my work colleagues helped me and now I love the job and my key worker children. Yesterday the new headmistress told me she is moving me into year 1 on Monday. My anxiety since yesterday has been off the scale. I don't feel I can do this anymore. At the age of 50 I finally had a job I loved with the nursery children. The nursery teachers that I work with are the only people I talk to (apart from my children ages 8, 10 and 13). I'm going to miss them too. Sorry for the long rambling message but my question is this: Do i say that i want to stay in nursery because my autism causes major anxiety when my routine changes, or should i just put up with it and don't say anything. I've also thought about giving up the job because the thought of changing position is terrifying. Thank you in advance for any advice you give.
