Memory Issues effecting special Interest.

Hi

 have some memory issues. I mostly not know what I wanted to do, what happened a few days ago and what happened months before etc. Also I often forget any instructions I get. Sadly my Memory Issues also effects my special interests. I can't remember specific things even if I should. It's frustrating and makes me really sad and I hate myself for it. And I don't know why that happens to me. I didn't had this problem as a child or it wasn't so obvious.

Do anyone else experience that or heard about memory issues ?

  • I understand exactly where you are coming from here. My memory is shockingly bad. Forget my special interests, when to eat and drink, birthdays, names, etc. I'm only in my early 30s but I feel like I'm an 80 year old. It did get me down but I've come to accept that this is me and my Autism and that has helped me a bit. It is tiring trying to remember everything, so I have taken to writing a lot of it down and that does help so when I forget I quickly check my notes and that helps. It is a pain though. Especially when driving when I forget how to get certain places. Autism is a nightmare at times!
