Autism Acceptance Month - Aucademy resources

I was thinking that it will soon be Autism Acceptance Month and that sometimes the information that is shared is not helpful or accurate for us as the autistic community.

Instead this poster designed by Aucademy could be shared and put up in public places.

I hope this is helpful.

Parents
  •  Its way too wordy very political and borderline oppressive.

  • Interesting take. Minoritised and marginalised existences are political, for instance, we are more likely to die by suicide than any other cause of death, and at a younger age than the general population; we are more likely to be out of employment; institutionalized and medicated and restrained against are will (and any number of other negative life outcomes due to the barriers in our society) - these are political phenomena. Attempts to reframe from lived experience of said minorities is paramount to exact change. I wonder why you personally felt a negative response to the educational posters?
