Hi all, I'm new to posting on forums so forgive me if this is a bit all over the place. To briefly introduce myself, I'm female and I'm 26 years old and other than a couple of family members, I don't really have anyone to share my news with...
It's been about a 6 month process since talking to my GP to getting my diagnosis (NHS) and I feel so lucky to have been heard and validated by my GP and referred to such a wonderful, amazing ASD clinic. Today, I received my results after a 2 week wait and I feel like such a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
I have spent the majority of the 26 years of my life struggling in many different aspects and I've never understood why I just didn't quite 'function' like everyone else I knew and to finally start to understand why- I just... feel such a huge sense of relief.
I have another phone call appointment next week to discuss things going forward and I'm feeling so much more positive about my future
I'm also very happy to answer any questions about my diagnosis process if anyone has any!
