From what I can see, the forms aren’t for me to complete and questions on a parent who can give information on my childhood is not really possible. My mother is my only surviving parent and is 76, she really doesn’t get what autism is and would see it as an attack on her parenting. I explained to her a few weeks ago about how much of my earlier school life was spent in remedial lessons. She was totally unaware of it. My sister is 10 years younger than me so can’t really help.
I can remember as far as pre school and know I was struggling then. I’m obviously aware that how I complete these forms will determine if I get assessed. I am thinking of a private assessment but their fee has increased by £300 in the last month. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated..
