Shaving - teenage boy

My son has asd and very sensitive around his head and face. Hair cutting had always been a problem  and now he is ready to start shaving. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • A wet/dry electric shaver is probably the best bet. I think any manual razor, reliant on multiple sharp blades, will tend to be more of an irritant than an electric shaver. With a wet/dry electric shaver your son can try shaving with and without water and lather, to see which best suits him.

From my own experience, growing a full beard is more irritating, especially when trying to sleep (when your bristles are pushed against the skin by the pillow), than shaving is.
