GP Has Sent of My Referral - The Starting Gun Has Been Fired!

I had tried to get the GP to refer me way before Christmas but after many phone calls, it all seemed to be in limbo.  So I phoned today to find out what has happened and apparently the referral letter was sent yesterday.

After reading some of the reports on here and not being one to have too many issues, I have wondered if it is worth it but, as others have said, information is good and you never know when having a diagnosis will be useful.

So with a starting date of 20th January 2022 I wonder if I will be seen this year?  How long before I get an acknowledgement even?

  • you should expect an acknowledgment soon, this will be a questionnaire that took me 3 days to fill in,.  I think the questionnaire is the decider for an assessment with NHS.

    I was texted every couple of months saying I was on the waiting list.

    whole process took 18mths,. I’m diagnosed with my present and not my childhood, as I can’t remember much
