So, apparently I don't have Autism

I was told this morning that I don't have Autism, I shouldn't be attending the Autism group (apparently, only people with a diagnosis can attend these - not what I've been told by the branch officer) and counselling will solve everything.

The person who told me this, hardly knows me and claims it's self esteem and confidence that need sorting out.

She's meant to be disability support.

    Says who? There is no condition of a formal diagnos (nor do they ask for proof / care whether you've been diagnosed or not) to be a member of the group.

    The person who made this claim has no evidence at all that I don't have Autism. I received an email from someone last year just after my diagnosis. In this email he said he's not surprised that I have Autism and that it's been obvious ever since we've known each other, which would now be 10 years.
