Could it be a sensory thing?

Been diagnosed with IBS for years. But have recently noticed that my IBS attacks tend to coincide with the feeling of being overwhelmed, usually by too much noise or touch or sometimes when I have to be super upbeat and chatty for a Zoom call or the like. It starts with this sense of the world pressing in on me, as if all the lights and sounds have been turned way up, and everything getting too much and I desperately want to have a moment to get away and sit somewhere dark and quiet on my own and not have to talk of think for a while. But that's rarely an option as I have small children. However, I've noticed that if I don't manage to take some time than either my IBS starts up (I'll spare you the details as to how) or I start getting terrible face pains or migraines. I'm not sure but sometimes I wonder if the bouts of intense itchy skin I often get might be connected too. Does anyone else get this? Could it be a sensory overload thing?

Thanks
