Does anyone take Sertraline?

Hello everyone.

My Dr has prescribed me Sertraline for my panic attacks and depression as it’s gotten really bad recently.

The only other medication I’ve ever taken is antibiotics, twice in my life. 

But, I’ve been on these pills since Wednesday and I can’t sleep, I’m waking up at 4am. I’ve probably eaten one meal since then and had a few snacks, i also can’t help going to the toilet. 
my Dr never told me about any of the side effects.

does anyone else take this? He’s given me a months worth to see how I go and take one tablet (50mg)

how were your side effects and how long did they last?

  • Hi Mark, like you I was started on 50mg, on a higher dose now but hopefully your not need that and won't be on very long. 

    These are the side effects I remember having

    Like you I had trouble sleeping, had to keep going to the toilet and I also felt sick and had a really bad headaches.

    One thing I did which you may want to is I phoned my doctor and said about the side effects and she said to take half a pill for two weeks and that actually did help loads! So it might be worth you talking to her to see what she suggests.
