Is open thinking(intelligence)and extreme thinking anxiety linked in Autism.

With my autistic aspergers I have a high IQ, which is good for openminded intelligence for wholistic modeling of frameworks, theories and problem solving. So in a sense high intelligence is a form of extreme thinking on the edge, openminded but peer isolated, typical aspergers social model.

So when it comes to simple tasks or social areas in life, this extreme thinking(over thinking) gets in the way and forecast a million tangents and worstcase scenerio's. So you end up with GAD or social anxiety.

So give me an intelligence task, like building a bridge,, no problems,, technical, logic, rational with problem solving aspects,, but give me social issue, my mind jumps to extreme thinking outcome.

Does anyone else experience this thinking mode ?
