Quiet spaces for Autistic job seekers

The Daily Telegraph today has an article about UK Job Centres providing quiet and low lit rooms for autistic job seekers to help them into work.  Also Tesco are rolling out quiet hours for shopping.

Small steps maybe but I think positive not that I have too much of a problem.  Tesco has to be super busy for me to get stressed and we never go when it is super busy anyway.

  • I saw this! I look forward to seeing how the DWP Staff training has worked... A big change from me going in 6 weeks ago, for an "interview" after giving up my self employment, and taking a few hours of temp work... The lady at DWP said: "well this is all not relevant anymore" pointing to a list of issues that included my Autism diagnosis... I literally had to tell her Autism doesn't just go away because I pick up some temp work.
