Loss of time.

I don’t know if it’s just me but I get periods of time loss.  If I am doing something inane such polishing a car, I can all of a sudden stare at it. The next time I look at the clock ten minutes can have elapsed and I have no memory of that time.

I’ve always done it. I spoke to a friend  a few days ago who has Aspergers, he then realised that he has always done it when he is using a computer and doing something boring. Does anyone else have similar experiences?

  • I can easily loose track of time when engrossed with something; an activity, perhaps, or often just deep thought on a single concept. But the zoning out your describing, where you kind of 'come to' having been mentally somewhere else, I've mostly had in times of trauma.
