Bereavement / Grief

I have recently suffered 2 family bereavement in the space of 2 months and I’m finding it difficult to deal with.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any resources (such as books) on dealing with grief as an autistic adult - I’ve only seen books aimed at autistic children.

  • Not a recommendation because I haven't read the book but "Autism And Loss" by Rachel Forrester-Jones and Sarah Broadhurst is available on Amazon.  It seems to be aimed at carers but perhaps that doesn't matter if it gives you some tools that may help.  Taking baby steps helped me.

Not really one for quoting the Royals but The Queen's comment that "Grief is the price we pay for love" also resonated with me, and helped me to remember the good stuff and value the memory of the time we had together.

    Wishing you well.
