Creativity being stifled by dull people

Does anyone else find you achieve far less than you would if you weren't surrounded by dull people?

My father eats the same boring food every day and is insistent on the kitchen being available at exact times he wants and no one else being in there. So he makes cooking creatively a chore as he takes it all too seriously and treats the kitchen like a temple instead of a canvas to let loose on.

    I haven't lived with my parents since 17. And then once I stopped living with E/INFP men, my life was a million times more grand. 

    There is a saying that who you actively surround yourself with, says much about you. Obviously this is true once we have the means and agency to "curate" our surroundings. The Artists Way has a few things to say on this. Creativity and Talent can be sharpened to skill only with uninterrupted time.
