Memory

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced a difference between their long and short term memories? I find that I can remember particular incidents from long ago to a striking level of detail, including from my early childhood. However, my short term memory is often very poor; I can forget something I did ten seconds ago. I changed jobs around a year ago, and I've found that since that point, I struggle to remember tasks and organize myself. I think this was hidden in my previous job, because in that role, I created bespoke routines for myself that I stuck to rigidly, meaning that I relied on habit rather than memory per se.

  • Is that a challenge? Joking of course. Our days are probably about the same. I watch an Mi High when I first get up and then I'll literally lay on my bed and just get lost in my mind and thoughts all day.... It's so boring. If you could die of boredom I think I'd be long dead now, you to by the sounds of it. Every day is the same. Nothing exciting or new ever happens. Sometimes I might do some colouring but most days it's the same I'll just lay on my bed and do nothing.

Got to love life, it's so exciting isn't it Stuck out tongue

  • Not sure your boring days can compete with mine as they are basially just me stairing at the wall fixating on a thought between 20min-1 hour then moving onto the next, i spent days going though this forum discussing and relpying to people in my head before i made an account and made my first post lol my sleep pattern all off so now i feel really dazed lol
