NAS Autism and mental health conference

One thing I did notice in the winter edition of "Your Autism" is a diary date for the 2022 NAS autism and mental health conference.

Has anyone attended in previous years?  If so, did you find it useful?

I'm just wondering whether it's worth attending and whether any info on the key areas I'm interested in (burnout and trauma) will be detailed enough and offer guidance that'll help in a family where all members are adults.  So many courses I've attended seem to spend considerable time describing the issues and the causes, but relatively little on how to recover and find a way through.

Any thoughts?

  • I've recently seen this - I'm also interested in finding out more about burnout. I'm working full time so may do the on demand option

  • The on demand option makes it more affordable too.  I'd just like to know how much depth they'll go in to.  For example, if I've already watched a couple of Dora Raymaker's online webinars and the associated research paper so will I learn any more on burnout from this?  I'm desperate for more iinformation on severe, chronic burnout in adults and how to support them through it (instead of the stalemate position we're now in) but I keep shelling out for mini courses and getting the same, very limited information and no signposting for where to get help.  It feels like an (un)lucky dip!
