Work and Other Miscellaneous Questions

Hi Everyone

Hope you are doing well.

This post unlike my other ones this is not as negative, although I still have the same problems I am trying to move on from this as difficult as it is.

I have been working in my current job for around 5 months, after being out of work for some time. Even though people are friendly and it does keep me busy, the problem is it is too busy and most of the time the noise can be unbearable, which makes socialising very difficult but as I can't drink alcohol, due to my system rejecting it, possibly due to an incident a few years ago. Although the benefits of this job are certainly worth it, I am now at a point, where impulsivity kicks in as it usually does at this time in a job, where I may make a decision to move to another job due to a variety of issues, and this prompts the following questions, which have some background to them.

The questions are as follows:

1. I looked up online about job hopping syndrome, I know that this job was technically a job whilst I finished my university course but there is potentially scope long-term but I look at short-term and current career growth but there is a little but not much and the workload becomes too much that sometimes I don't have time to research or have  a lunch break. Having said that I am given a lot of responsibility but that becomes short-lived when you are constantly given requests at different points in time. Given that I am in charge of maintaining numerous valuable assets, I have so many requests coming in and I am the only one on site, I forget things, which cause problems later on. In previous jobs, I know I have made the mistake of jumping ship due to lack of interest or being too much without considering the challenges in the next job. Does anyone relate to this or know where the best place to get advice to help with this, as there are people I know who have been in a job for over 15 years and I can barely stick to one for around 5 months?

2.  Leading on from the background about the first question. After I come back from work, despite exercising I am exhausted and go to sleep straight away and need the weekend to relax before Monday, either by watching shows, playing games but exclusively usually staying indoors and don't really have any outdoor social events, time to focus on the dating or learning musical instruments or planning a trip etc. Before October, the weekends would be for university work but now it seems to be me staying indoors which is fine but it would be nice to do an activity like going for a movie but I don't really have anyone to go with. I have been looking into meetups, my experience of it has been mixed and it is a gamble, it can be worthwhile or it can make you worse. I am looking for friends around my age (26 years) and above, whether that is talking about interests, teaching a skill, helping with a problem, reading a particular book or discussing a show etc. This could be from here, I do have issues trusting people at first but I am willing to help out, if people are interested or have used another place to find this?

3. This question is particularly important, I am trying to also save up for potentially a property although away from the city, somewhere away from my family. They are not all that bad, but I need to a fresh start, away from expectations and family functions. Does anyone have any experience of using a reliable method of earning extra income, such as either using a website like Fiverr, stocks and shares, second job, crypto etc. If so, how did you go about it and was it worth it? In addition, does anyone know any websites where you can get help with independence?

I don't expect these to be answered but it would be great if people can give an insight into these areas.

Thanks for Reading.
