Going back to work

I am going back to work tomorrow after a 2 week holiday for half term. Over the holiday I have felt so much calmer. I have been able to be myself most of the time and not mask much. It has been really nice. I am so anxious about going back to work tomorrow. I find it so difficult being around so many people all day and dealing with social situations and office politics etc

All weekend I have been feeling so overloaded because of it and melting down at the slightest little thing.
I also struggle to be myself at home when I am at work. I feel that I have to mask and be a bit of a different person at work and its hard to switch it off and be myself again when I get home. I really struggle with this

Does anyone know any coping techniques to help cope with going back to work and with pressured work situations? I have some that help but any more would be really appreciated as I am struggling a bit

  • I always get in a really weird mood thr Sunday when the hols are finishing. I also think because I can be myself more in the hols, the transition is a bit challenging from being off to being in. I've taught for 9 years and this feeling never seems to go. I just tell myself this has happened dozens of times before. Try to build in recovery time during the day or after work maybe. I don't know what else to suggest.
