Toilet is home ?

Noticed an interesting cognitive correlation today, when I am in unfamiliar external territory, by bowels always act up and I feel the need to go home for safety and a bowel motion(being polite here) in safe zone i.e home to WC.

Has anyone else found this as an experience with autism.

  • 8 years ago I bought a small van so I could carry a portable toilet as I cannot even go into toilets other than my own. As for the bowel reaction it is a very common one for anyone who is anxious whether or not they are aware of feeling anxious. As crystal12 said that's where all those phrases come from.

On a slight tangent when I was sent to a psychiatrist at age 13 he said to me "do you get butterflies in your tummy?" I said "no" and thought "how would they get in there?"
