Self diagnosed - waiting for assessment

  I hated secondary school too - so very much.  I had school phobia at 11 when I first started and the rest of the years at secondary were completely awful for me.  I couldn't wait to leave.  Luckily I found college and university much easier as  I didn't stand out quite so much and it was ok to be on my own in the library etc.  

This forum is so brilliant for me as I'm learning that there are others who feel very similar to me and it's helping me to accept myself.

I completely agree we need to be proud of who we are and know/accept ourselves exactly as we are.

I am 51 and self diagnosed at 49, still waiting for official NHS diagnosis.Have/do suffer from all those you have listed. I have pretty much blotted out my secondary education from my memory as I hated it. We need to be proud of what we have achieved, know what our trigers and limits are and be kind to ourselves. for me finally knowing what my enemy was was a revelation, now I need to really find out how it works.
