Hi my name is Zoe, i have a son who is 18. He was diagnosed with ASD (aspergers) when he was 11…. He is currently doing his A Levels but we are trying to get him an apprenticeship in Horticulture which he is interested in and has qualifications in but nowhere by where we live have anything for him….. My question is are the organisations that can help me with this type of thing? Ie, getting him into work etc?

Our branches offer support to local autistic people and their families, perhaps they will know of an apprenticeship that will suit? Our branches are volunteer-led, and as such every branch and group is different. Some are parent support groups, some provide support and information to autistic adults, while others have office premises and run their own a drop-in service. You will need to check with a branch directly for more information on whether they are able to provide a particular service that you are interested in.
