Intimidation from neighbours

I moved into a flat earlier in the year after leaving my partner due to our relationship breaking down, mostly due to her sons but also my own failings which I accept and have to live with. At first it seemed ok, but not long after the neighbours started to bang on walls, shout loudly inside and out, and sometimes at night so sleeping was difficult.  I chose to ignore it hoping it would go away, but it didn't.  It started to feel more personal, and I assume they have found out who I am from what my ex-partners sons have spread about me.  Whole lot of anger/hate because I got together with their mum, plus they thought I was weird/hilarious and an easy target.  I was foolish to get involved, and even more for putting up with things.

I was also worried my phone was hacked, so reset it and turned it off - since then it has been calmer, but that may be coincidental.  Things sparked up again earlier, so I decided to inform the housing association of whats been happening as I had to stand up for myself after a lifetime of letting people trample on me, finally learned to at 49!  It may not end well, but doing nothing isn't great either.

I got into a bad situation, and it was totally the wrong place for me, but I need to move on and doesn't look like I'll be allowed to.  I guess I'll have to talk to the police, but will see what the housing association say.
