Struggling

Hi , I have Autism and I have just found out that my 2 year old daughter may have Autism too ( waiting for her to get assessed) .  I’m really struggling trying to manage her , she has meltdowns , doesn’t want to wear clothes or go outside . Wondering if anyone on here has Autism and has kids too , I just need some advice or tips

  • Then some of them decide that people like us are not struggling enough...

And since "misery likes company", they brighten up their little lives by adding a bit of struggle to YOUR life.

And I find that if I struggle to achieve a goal, by the time I get what I was aiming for, it sure DOES NOT "taste sweeter". I don't mind working for a goal, and achieving it, that is a great feeling, but struggling for a goal is just a draining sensation, which does exactly what you say, it sucks the joy out of life. A classic example is being a pilot, any of us will tell you, it's better being on the ground looking up and wishng you were there, than it is being up there struggling to survive ( unexpected weather, for example) and wishing you were on the ground.

There's a subtle, but vital difference between "workiing hard" and "struggling".
