Appointment strategy

Found a good coping stategy today  , I arrived one hour before doctors appointment was due to be held, this may sound crazy for NT's but for me, it takes the psychological time pressure point of the appointment time of my mind, I know i will not late, my anxiety goes down as I climatise to the environment after half a hour or so, I take in a book and read it, so I walk into the appointment with less anxiety.  So I don't feel trapped or pushed by externals as much. I also say in my mind that I will not need to talk(i know I will), but this stops me worrying so much or mind projecting conversations which do not happen anyway.

So I am there but not there(early) until I am there, rather than being there before I am there,, lol
