The wrong kind of Autism-lonely island

It would seem that if you are high functioning adult that you are at the mercy of luck.

Social workers will either treat you as an imbecile after reading stereo typical diagnosis or be hands off not knowing what to do.

The wrong kind of autism will see you left with lip service and NAS not interested In you.

Thankfully my current key worker is a coloured foreign chap who has no preconceived ideas or prejudice towards autism and recognises that autism is not a mental health problem.

I suspect the reason the moderators have vapourised is they are volunteers and

because after a carefully controlled forum they have decided to say nothing rather than engage.

If you feel passionate about autism-lets talk, currently there are rational and valid discussions on the forum-we would like to engauge in a meaningful dialogue I'm sure.

While city road is rotten to the core, the rank and file carers on the ground are passionate about quality care, even with influx of challenging residential clients that are not really suited to NAS facilities as I have researched.

I'm sure volunteers are genuine and passionate- so speak up
