Good news- Spectrum 10k study has been postponed

I know there have been some concerns about Spectrum 10k shared on this forum. There is a now a positive outcome thanks the passion of autistic advocates, parents and the Stop Spectrum 10k petition. The Spectrum 10k study has been postponed and will include discussion with autistic people. This shows the strength of the autistic community and the value of innate autistic traits such as passion, hyper focus and determination.

  • Oh I see- you can usually find out who is funding any study you are interested in- It might be stated on the website of the lab or the study or once it is published there could be an acknowledgment on the paper. If you have the name of the funding body then it's usually easy to find the exact details by going on the website of that funding body and searching for it. And even if you don't find the name of the funding body, if the study is in the UK then usually you can also find it by just searching through the websites of the major funding bodies in the UK eg. Wellcome trust, BBSRC, MRC etc. You can often even find how much funding there is and for how long. The same approach works for other countries too of course but I am less familiar with the funding bodies there.
