Self Employed question

Having been throw in the gutter and finding out that while doctor, keyworker and social worker think it is outrageous- it looks to be a final situation.

Could anyone tell me with my current medical condition nobody will employ me as I'm housebound after a flair up even on new medication.

I can't face the job seekers my only choice until appeal months away- I know that I'll have an outburst and end up flipping out.

However I do have an alternative, my friend does security work and said he would be prepared to support me.

I also think I could do research consultant as good at finding obscure facts.

Now working tax credits are 208 pounds a month and if I could do 1 night a week with friend as security on building site.

I believe I could keep Direct payments, working tax credits and if as it would surely not make any profit-housing benefit.

The only sticking point is cost of security. Badge called SIA?

Does anyone know more about any of these things?

  • When I went self-employed in 2003 it was because I couldn't face the job centre. I had two contacts that would give me work. I managed to keep going for seven years.

    I don't understand this sentence:

"The only sticking point is cost of security. Badge called SIA?"

I expect you have read the HMRC stuff about self-employment. I am glad there is at least a glimmer of a possiblity for you after all you have been through Smile
