Tiredness

Hi does anyone else find that as they get old, masking tires you out more.

I'm 56 and dealing with people, especially more than one at a time has always worn me out. But I've just had to get on with it(being undiagnosed up till now)

But as I get older, I don't seem to have the same staying power in dealing with the tiredness.

Now even dealing with one other person, or been in a busy environment seems to sap my energy.

Maybe it's not a AS thing, maybe it's an age thingSweat smileSob

  • I think it may be a mixture of both. I am 61 and have recently realised that I was masking for years without realising  it. I was reflecting on this and that it all seemed easier when I was younger and now seems that I have to try and control and ration how much emotional energy  etc I use and find I am only dealing with a certain amount/people contacts per day.
