Connect to Autism - AnneMarie Gallagher

Hi

Has anybody been seen by this lady in a NHS or private capacity? The process seems to all be via telephone and zoom. Is this adequate? I'm looking into a private diagnosis quite frankly as since the realisation that autism could be the key to why I feel how I do, I cannot get it off my mind and need to know now rather than wait. I'm a 31 year old female. It's such a lot of money and I'm nervous to spend it without a recommendation!

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi, I am currently being diagnosed by her.

She has done the first part and is doing second part shortly.

If she thinks you will not meet the criteria the will only do first part, which saves you money.

From everything in researched, she's the real deal.

    Pleasant to deal with.

She specialises in women I think. Although I am male.

Go for it,  if it helps. You could always just do first part if you just need it for your own information

  • Hi JLRLIIH, I've not been assessed yet but I'm in the Glasgow area and on the NHS waiting list. Anne Marie Gallagher's name was on the first letter I got from the local adult autism team so I believe she does NHS and private in Scotland? Anyway, the second letter I got from them told me I had "passed" the first stage (early years development questionnaire) and I'm now on the waiting list for an assessment consultation - and this will be done via Zoom because of covid (well, not Zoom but the equivalent platform that the NHS uses). I'm not 100% convinced that that's the best way to do an assessment but anyway just to let you know that it would appear at the moment that it will be done by video call regardless of whether you go private or NHS!
