Destructive

Hi.

My daughter is e and we are awaiting an assessment.

She is really destructive. She does things such as pulls all her clothes out of the drawers and urinates on them, she doesnt do this everyday. Pulls toys out and empties shelves of books then just walks away.

How do I deal with this behaviour and tey and correct it??

Thank you.

  • Well it could be a way of defying being forced to wear clothing she doesn’t like? A lot of autistic people have sensitivity's to uncomfortable frabrics, will rip / cut scratchy labels out etc.

also if you put away things she left out in some particular pattern, or something she left out to use etc. Well she might be pulling out out the toys and books as retaliation for you messing up her pattern or interrupting her hobby / project.
