Numbers

i also love number plates.  Always on the look out for unusual ones or ones that i can abbreviate for example my neighbour has OCD at the end of her....or i add the numbers so they all add up to 10 eventually.  Always on the look out for the new number plates that come out in March or September.  I even asked the lady that diagnosed me to put this in my report.  I do like cars and number plates

I don't have anything like you with numbers and I'm actually pretty terrible at maths but I have strange memory for numbers that others don't seem to have I see like number plates, post codes, door numbers I've seen in other places and countries, just little things.

My favourite counting sequence is

1,2 3,4,5 6 7,8,9,10,11,12 ,1 2,3

And I will often repeat this many times

As a child I was really into certain numbers, they were a real obsession.

I'm very comfortable with even numbers on the clock, especially 22.22,  when I was working I would usually be settling into bed at that time.

I have Arithmomania which is compulsive counting. When I'm stressed I always count (in my head - never out loud)  forwards and then backwords. It's the comforting repetition I guess, it certainly calms me. Even when I'm not stressed I often count things.

When buying multiples, it always has to be in even numbers.

I'm not sure how common this is in those of us on the spectrum, but I have met a couple on this forum.

I have to be out the house by 7.30 in the morning to make a 10 min journey. Have plenty of time but 7.31 i feel like I’m late and panic 

I try and go to bed at 11pm or 12:15pm - otherwise I might stay awake too long waiting for them.

I can rattle off number plates for vehicles I’ve not seen in years. It’s taken me 3 years to just about remember my phone number!

My car stereo and tv have to be on an even number. My fixation with number plates also is another thing.

Ooo. I prefer even !!!

I count steps going past houses or crossing roads, they have to be odd and even better if it is a prime number
