  • If you have aspergers, your mind is neurodivergent, which is just saying that your mind thinks and processes information differently than most of the population (composed mainly of the neurotypicals). You may be more creative or more technical and rational than most people. You might have special interests that you can become obsessed about. You likely have issues with socializing with others.

It's a very common to have issues with holding down a job, because of social anxiety, and/or sensory overload (being overwhelmed by bright lights, miscellaneous sounds, large crowds). It's also common to have issues with forming friendships and/or problems when dating people.

People who feel anxious and depression, may turn to substances to temporarily alleviate their symptoms, but that might form an addiction and a dependency on those substances, which becomes a problem on top of the initial problem.

But is aspergers a bad thing? Not really. I've heard that there are many brilliant people who are on the autism spectrum, some of them even very successful and wealthy because of the type of ideas they are able to bring to life.
