Distractions please!

My counsellor blocked my email address 6 days ago because she can't give me the help I need anymore and I've been sending her too many emails (out of anxiety, sort of compulsively looking for reassurance)

To be honest I'm feeling pretty broken but I'm looking for as many positive distractions as possible to help me get through this time

So far... the Simpsons is sort of helping

  • Hobbies! sewing, drawing, building miniatures, anything like that. Keep your hands busy and it will focus your brain. Much better than the telly. I can't really comment on your counsellor as I don't know the circumstances, but you may find that by taking the time to tease out your anxiety, you can find out what is causing it yourself. Much of what I've learned from Counsellors has been how to change my perspective. learning to see things from a different angle in order to try and understand them. I like reading about Buddhist Philosophy and listening to Buddhist monks on youtube for that reason as they often have interesting ways of viewing the world, often in really simple ways that we tend to overlook. They also often do guided meditation as well which I find so helpful.
