Sunflower lanyard

Do I continue wearing my sunflower Sunflower lanyard today?

I HATE it. I don't like standing out and being different but then I also can't stand confrontation and in most cases the lanyard avoids this.

I still get people asking why I am wearing it and I find that really uncomfortable. Someone asked if it was because I was asthmatic and I just said yes as it was easier.

I am going to Northern Ireland on 7th August and travelling through Wales and Ireland to get there via ferry. Each country has different rules so do I just have to continue wearing it.

Does anyone else HATE is as much as me ?

  • Hi, Magnolia. No, you don't need to wear it any more. I've never worn mine; I've just kept it in my pocket in case I was ever challenged. I only got asked for it about three times during the whole of the nonsense. There is no legal requirement to wear a mask now, so there should be no reason to carry the lanyard. BUT, that doesn't mean that some people will still be on a power trip and ask you why you are not wearing a mask. So for that reason, I would still carry it around in my pocket, just in case.

  • The lanyard is recognised in Northern Ireland but isnt really needed. no one will say anything to you just keep it in your pocket and if challenged pull it out

Welcome to Northern Ireland on 7th August Slight smile

I wear a snood as a mask. I have a range of them and I am used to wearing them now.
