Adjustments at work

I found it well worth asking for adjustments at work, after I had my ASD diagnosis a few years ago.

My employer bought me noise cancelling ear plugs (cost about three hundred pounds) as I can be over sensitive to noise (compared to most people).  I also have difficulty taking in long verbal instructions, so they gave me written instructions, which was a great help.  I was also transferred to a work site closer to my home, which reduced fatigue (partly caused by a long commute).

As a result I have performed better at work, so a win for them as well as a win for me.

Make a list of reasons why u think u are autistic ( go through the traits )

include blood relatives in your family who are autistic or adhd or called weird/different

and a list of occasions when u have been called weird, autistic, different

the list should be electronic ie so you can email it to anyone who wants it.
