I had a look at the link that you gave and it sounds like a step in the right direction. I have not had any dealings with the criminal justice system other than being on a jury, but I would think that someone on the autistic spectrum would be at a comparative disadvantage (a prison could be a very noisy place for example).

I notice that there is a survey about young autistic people’s experiences or worries about being involved in the criminal justice system:
