Podcasting

I was suggested to begin Podcasting about my experiences with Autism by a woman from LA I know from Zoom Conferences; her son has Autism, and I mentioned about having Asperger's.

To be honest, I'll wait until I receive the money destined for me. Then I'll order a MacBook Air and use GarageBand. Trying to record audio on VLC is a pain in the Hole.

  • I can definitely help with suggestions about technical gear.

Ideally, if you want to create a podcast, start now by simply creating the topics. Write your thoughts and experiences down - fill up notebooks of topics and thoughts!

If you have a computer, you could also try out various software programmes for free and see how easy their editing software is. Protools First is free, it has limited capabilities but I bet it would work to simply record and edit. I think Logic comes with a Mac. I've heard others use Reaper. Having the content and the ability to edit / boune down your podcast would be the first steps. Then when you're ready to create them, it will feel a bit more fluid!
