Alexithymia and crying during movies

Hi guys

Does anyone have Alexithymia but have a major emotional  sensitivity to movies?

I seem to have trouble identifying how I feel during real life events, but cry very easily when watching tv.

  • Yes, I don't know why ,I have watched a child die in the street and felt nothing but watch it on tv and have to hold back tears. There is meant to be a thing that says you are more effected by close events ,but that doesn't seem to apply to me .There is also a thing where you release happy chem's if all around are panicking so perhaps this effects how autistic people  react . On tv you are seeing hurt ,but don't get the happy chem's to counter act . I don't  know but would be interesting in knowing
