How do I get my 19 year old son diagnosed?

Mine was two interviews on Zoom (plus a load of off-the-charts email info from me).

Hence - I think physical location has less impact than it might have done - as long as your GP / local NHS trust etc accept the answer,,,,

Hi JJ, did you have to wait long for your assessment? I'm kicking myself for not doing this years ago now, but he always coped. I think if the assessments were done remotely he would prefer that because he gets stressed with different places and doesn't like speaking to people face to face. Thanks for your reply JJ,

I wish him (and you) the best of luck. As was pointed out to me many times - there are people who spend their entire careers on this subject so nobody is expecting us to be overnight-experts.

thats great, thank you. I want his return to uni to go smoothly. The whole covid situation has caused him a great deal of anxiety, and it really highlighted his issues. And I don't want him not to pass his degree because I didn't get him diagnosed. I want the uni to support him with this, as it's a 2.5 hr drive away, and I can't be there at the drop of a hat. I have given him strategies to help him the best I can, but I feel it's time for professional support.
