i am fed up with the stupid medical narrative of autism and autistic people. it's so negative and mostly based on observation of stressed white male autistic kids by phychaitrists.
the uk has removed autism from the list of mental disorders. but the US, WHO, along with other countries are still trying to "treat" it.
drives me mad. i am not fucking disordered non of us are. i've met "low functioning" autistic person and they are no different to "high functioning" ones like me. it's nonsense. and yes autism can sometimes be a medical disability but mostly it's a social one due to lack of acceptance, stereotypes, a negative narrative etc.
to help i've decided to create a new disorder based on observations. Nuerotypical Spectrum Disorder. Symptoms are severe in some cases and i recommend ABA - they bodies are inflexible, their sensory/motor system is broken and complete lack of empathy. small talk is one of the worst symptoms and leads to reduced mental capacity and lower productivity. walking gait is rigid and behavioural therapy needs to be used. bullying is common, along with shallowness and lack of interests. in addition, they create societal "ranks" based on wealth and status. abnormal eye gestures, posture, communication issues (lack of clarity), are pervasive.
Normal autistic humans do not seem to suffer from these issues.
how about it? what other symptoms are there which needs treatment?
i know i'm not the first person to put it into perspective like this but still therapeutic for me! and this perpetive is imo, the most important one for autistic people, as it "bounces" stigma back and helps with being and staying unmasked.
and this is a semi joke for anyone worried!
