What non-stereotypical stims are there?

Hi

Whenever I research online I keep getting the same stereotypical stims mentioned (eg. Hand flapping)

Can people please help me out with what kind of of less typical stims they might have.

I don't know what mannerisms of mine are stims and what's common to NT behaviour.

  • I just remembered that I also click my tongue to make ‘snock-snack’ sound and also click fingers and slap fist and hand together in a satisfying rhythmic sequence. It’s like punctuation or an audible/physical conclusion of one thought before I set my mind to something else. The ‘snock-snack’ sound is also like a self- applause when I’m on a roll with something. I started getting conscious about it at work but now, as I settle more into being authentically autistic, I don’t really care what people think; it helps me think and concentrate

  • Wow. Ok. I do the same thing. But it's not because I like it. It's because my feet feel ... I dunno ... Kind of charged up. And it soothes them a bit.
