Stranger Danger

I may be over-reacting, but you can never be too safe when using online forums. So, this is a reminder for everyone using this forum. I have noticed certain forum members have a habit of inviting people to exchange private messages without any prior contact.  The advice from the NAS is quite clear about private message settings: We do not recommend that you accept private messages from "Everyone". Please choose either "Friends only" or "No one".

I realise that I may be paranoid about online safety, so I hope this does not offend anyone, but please remember that this is a public forum used by vulnerable adults and adults who may be in distress. If you are seeking advice on this forum, please be careful with members trying to solicit you into exchanging private messages with the promise of personal or professional advice. If a forum member invites you to exchange private messages with them without any previous contact or without being connected as a friend, please do not feel pressured into doing so.

Stay safe online.

  • Daisy !!!  I've had lots of dogs in my life, she is my second labrador and I love her so much - I call her my little ADHD dog as she's nutty and despite being 12yrs now doesnt act like it so I have to manage her dog walks and keep her on the lead most of the time as she does have arthritis but will get carried away charging around.  I've got two cats and some hens too - I love animals, couldnt be without them !
