Where are autistic adults meant to go for resources?

I'm a 23 year old who has diagnosed autism. I didn't get the diagnosis until relatively recently, mostly due to parents who were very against mental health services and forbade me from accessing any during my upbringing. When I try to look for counsellors/psychiatrists/therapists I try to search for ones who specialise in autistic patients to some degree since I think that is very explanatory of a lot of my behaviours, and there are plenty available. But only for kids and teenagers, and they specify that and make that clear. The only therapist I found who claims to accept adult autistic patients hasn't responded to my e-mail in two weeks.I'm not understanding it. Do people think you stop being autistic when you reach adulthood? Where am I supposed to go for help? Because of COVID I can't even go to support groups.
