Finding your super power!

I've just left a few threads where we all having a darn good "complain".

I think we need a "balancing" where we talk about the positives of our way of being!

I can think of quite a few, but I'd like to let others have a go first.

May I suggest we try for a simple and concise listing of our our best traits and abilities, so if the thread works as I hope it will, we end up with an easily navigable resource?

  • Some of my autistic strengths include:

    • Deep and analytical thinking
    • Feel very passionately and intensely - really like the ability to immerse in a flow state when engaged in my interests. When interested in something I want to know everything about it.
    • Creative - really love the complexity and double meanings of the English language
    • Detail orientated - see patterns all the time
    • Observant
    • Feel like I can really relate to and empathise with other autistic and neurodivergent people/people who are misunderstood/quiet/shy
    • Punctual

Another thought, I like the fact that because of literal thinking I see things for what they are. Also I appreciate the value of communication more because of autism.
